Taiko to Tabla photoCollaboration with multi-percussionist Pete Lockett since 1996 .

A unique fusion of world music traditions featuring an awesome array of drums, cymbals, gongs, bells and customised sound effects, merged into a compelling and rhythmically dynamic soundscape.

Gripping and powerful taiko rhythms blend with the intricate finger rhythms of the Indian tabla and Arabic framedrums. The warm tones of the Shakuhachi (Japanese bamboo flute), and Japanese folk singing are supported by the driving grooves of the African djembe, Cuban bongos and mesmerising phonetic rhythms from South India. The show has over 40 drums on stage, and features two of the most versatile multi-instrumentalists in the UK.
